There are so many fascinating tourist attractions in China, that a short two-week vacation would just be too short. You would spend the rest of your life thinking about all the natural beauty and man-made wonders that you missed. A brief one-day visit to China would only whet your appetite for a taste of the full flavor of this ancient land.The capital of China, Beijing, was also the capital of several rich and fascinating Dynasties that have left their mark on the city with the many imperial palaces they built. The Forbidden City is the most famous of these historical landmarks. Don’t leave Beijing before you pay homage to Tiananmen Square and marvel at the portion of the Great Wall of China that passes through the center of the city.

Visit Guangzhou and take in the Bright Filial Piety Temple, valued for its contribution to the history of Buddhism. Next travel to Xian China the home of the most famous cultural relics in China: the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses that guarded Emperor Qin Shi Huang’s burial place.Visit Macau China and be enthralled with the temple, Place of A-Ma, dedicated to the protective goddess of ancient Chinese Mariners. Don’t forget to take in the numerous museums, galleries and lush gardens while you are there.

When you go to Suzhou China prepare to be enchanted by the North Temple Pagoda and the Mountain Villa with Embracing Beauty. Before leaving, pick up a few of the renowned Suzhou Fans to be handed out for treasured souvenirs.The second busiest seaport in China is Shenzhen, which lacks the cultural and historical attractions to entice tourists. To combat that lack, Shenzhen has built numerous amusement parks that easily rival Disney for ingenuity and popularity.In the past Tianjin China was invaded by the Germans, the French, the British, the Belgians and the Japanese, as well as others. These times of occupation resulted in a city filled with thousands of beautiful and diverse villas. You will be fascinated by the way these different examples of architecture add to the charm of this city.

The capital of Hunan Province, Changsha China, has a past that spans 3000 years. Travel back into the rich history of this cultural center with visits to wall remains, temples and tomb sites. Located in the land of the giant pandas, Chengdu China is the home of the Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Center.  Chengdu is also a place of exquisite natural beauty and a rich history, which can be viewed by visits to the Yellow Dragon Valley, the Wenshu Monastery and the Thatched Cottage of Du Fu.
